Arashiyama Noon Art Print
Memories from my trip to Japan 2024 ♡ I took this reference photo while visiting the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto. I spent some time marveling at the tall forests of bamboo before making my way to Sogenchi Teien Garden, following the path through the beautiful landscapes. Just before leaving the temple area and arriving back into the busy streets, I looked to my right to see this gorgeous view of seemingly infinite tall lotuses (not the flowers, just the leaves). I later learned this area was appropriately named ‘Lotus Lake’, bordering the Junei-in Temple. the composition of sky, temple and green lotuses in perfect thirds was just too pretty to pass up for a painting.
